Project Date: 1999
My comedy troupe, Only Ninety Percent Effective, created a play called Rassle and performed it at the Paramount Theatre. Rassle was a play about a small band of pro wrestlers who banded together to face the Ultimate Challenge. I played Doc Piledriver, a once-great wrestler who was struggling to keep his arena from being overtaken by a faceless corporation so that they could hold Promise Keeper conventions.
We wanted a larger-than-life, over-the-top poster that was grandiose and a little cheesy. It needed to resemble posters we had seen for real wrestling events. The show was a hit and the poster was widely hailed as "bad ass".
Designed the poster; set poster for digital printing.
