Description

Project Date: 2002

My first big project when hired as the Web Administrator for the Office of the Governor of Texas was to redesign the entire site and implement an entirely new content management system, to be launched on Governor Rick Perry's inauguration. This was an amazing and complex task. Not only was I a "one man band," but I had to manage content for the dozen or so executive state agencies that lived under the umbrella of the Governor's Office. This included the Texas Film Commission and State Grants, among others.

The web site was completed in a few months and was launched to great acclaim. The site was accessible for people with disabilities, it featured the latest news from the executive office, it provided timely information during crisis, and it effictively communicated the governor's message.
