Project Date: Q3 2007 - Q1 2008
The Google Solutions Marketplace (aka Enterprise Marketplace) serves to enable discovery and procurement of 3rd party products and services that add value to or integrate with Google Enterprise products, including Google Apps, the Google Search Appliance, and Enterprise Geospatial products.
I successfully led the kick-off meeting among PMs and Tech Leads to get everyone on the same page, define success criteria, and outline next steps. I got buy-in on a strategy of upfront UX research and ideation, while acknowledging that such a process is flexible and should adapt to go-to-market needs. This enabled us to utilize the full strength that UX resources can provide. After the kick-off, I led a number of design sessions with the team, presented our work at several UI and product reviews, engaged researchers, and identified ongoing UX goals.
The Solutions Marketplace has since successfully connected numerous vendors and customers, extending the value of Google enterprise services.
Led the interaction design and information architecture through several iterations and user research; designed the site in accordance with Google's visual design guidelines.
